The fine print, in plain words

Privacy

Short version: your family’s data stays on your family’s devices. The only thing our systems can see is your membership status and which Pips you’ve unlocked. Here’s the long version.

What lives only on your device

Names, ages, birthdays (month and day only — we never ask for a year), brave-moment history, feelings check-ins, rotation history and site locations, notes, and settings. This data is stored locally in your browser on your device. It is never uploaded to us, and we have no way to read it. Deleting the app’s data from your device deletes it, period.

What we can see

Two things. Membership status: when you sign in with Patreon, Patreon tells us your account ID, the name and email on your Patreon account, and whether your Family Pass is active. We use this to unlock apps and for nothing else. Pip unlocks: which of the 200 Pips your family has unlocked in Brave. We store this so your collection can sync across devices and so you can order printed cards of Pips you’ve earned. That’s the complete list. We can’t see brave moments, feelings, glucose anything, rotation data, or your kid’s name.

Kids

Accounts belong to parents and are created by parents through Patreon. Children never create accounts, are never asked for personal information that leaves the device, and never see ads or purchases. The kid-facing apps ask only for a first name and a birthday month/day, and that information stays on the device.

What we never do

We don’t sell data. We don’t share data with advertisers. We don’t run ads. We don’t use third-party analytics trackers in our apps. We don’t collect health or glucose data at all — our apps aren’t built to hold it.

Payments

All payments are handled by Patreon on Patreon’s systems. We never see or store your payment details.

The contact form

If you use our contact form, we receive what you typed plus the name and email you provided, delivered through our website host (Netlify). We use it to reply to you and for nothing else.

Deleting your data

On-device data: delete it yourself anytime from the app’s grown-up corner or by clearing the site’s data in your browser. Synced data (membership link and Pip unlocks): email us via the contact page and we’ll erase it.

Changes

If this policy ever changes in a way that matters, we’ll say so plainly on Patreon before it takes effect. Last updated: August 2026.
